Wrist & Hand Joint

Wrist is a complex joint allowing good mobility and stability. The hand is structures for grasp and carrying loads.

Bone

Formed by Radius, Ulna and 8 Carpal bones. Hand is formed by 5 metacarpals and 14 phalangeal bones.

Cartilage

All joint surfaces are covered by cartilage.

Ligaments

Triangular Fibro Cartilage Complex (TFCC) and other ligaments stabilize the wrist & hand joints.

Muscle Tendons

Many long forearm muscle tendons and small hand muscles give strength and agility to the wrist and hand.
